Recreational Whinge:  War, what is it good for?  Absolutely nothing!  (There’s a song in there I’m sure…)

I found this website a while back, loved the images on it and thought I’d share it with you.  The particular post is called What Goes Around Comes Around. 

I trust you enjoyed that little excursion.

Now, you’re probably wondering where my huge recreational whinge, rant and rave is about war and how incredibly stupid it is and the insanity of some of the decisions people make that lead to the creation and maintenance of war, and the death of humans and animals and families and communities and entire cultures.

Do I really need to rant about that today, or do we get the picture already?  What goes around comes around.  We’re just perpetuating more of the same, making sure that one act of violence can inspire another one. 

WOW, wouldn’t it just be better if one act of peace inspired another one?

The Positive Spin:  I love the posters in the website link above!  It makes me feel wonderful that people are finding really interesting and creative ways of raising public awareness about various issues.  Granted, not every campaign makes people feel good and sometimes we may even question if something goes to far.  I admire though the intent and creative process.

Life Coaching (what I do for a living) is three simple steps:  Raise Awareness, Make Decisions and Modify Behaviour (Take Action).  So I trust that campaigns like “What goes around comes around” do an excellent job at helping raise people’s awareness about an issue so that they can then be inspired to explore the choices they’re making, and consider new ones, and from there act on the new decisions. 

So, I’m really inspired by these posters and am now exploring ways I can use similar ideas to promote other messages in my local community.  What ideas do you have?
